In my last year of college, I built the startup Layolay with my roommate, Christian Boswell, who came up with the idea for a platform which allows 3D modelers to upload, manage,
and sell their models to customers without managing any of the actual inventory, shipping, or 3D printing.
Ultimately, we only made on the order of hundreds of dollars from this (not too bad in my opinion), but the hundreds of hours I invested into making this site were a major motivating force in my switch from pursuing graduate school to software development. I wrote more about
